Climbing for a Cause: Gravita Takes on the Yorkshire Three Peaks

Published on:  01 September 2025

On the 20th September, 15 members of the Gravita team are taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks, a 24-mile hike across Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough, all within 12 hours, in support of two incredible charities: Macmillan Cancer Support and Long Covid Kids.

This is no small challenge. It’s tough, physically demanding, and requires resilience, which is why our team has been training hard to prepare.

We’re aiming to raise £3,600, and every donation, big or small, will bring us one step closer to that goal, while directly supporting the vital work these charities do for families and individuals across the UK.

With less than a month to go, we’d love your support in helping them reach the finish line.

Follow their journey and support the team here.

We’re proud to be standing alongside Macmillan and Long Covid Kids, supporting their missions and the difference they make every day. Macmillan Cancer Support and Long Covid kids were selected as charity partners by the London Gravita team, each Gravita region votes on the charity they would like to support.

About Macmillan

Macmillan has supported people living with cancer for over 100 years, from the moment someone is diagnosed with cancer, they are there to provide information, guidance and care to help people live life as fully as they can. Cancer affects more than health, it can impact relationships, work, finances and wellbeing. These challenges are often made worse by inequality, with care varying widely across the UK.

There are almost 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK. That number is rising. They’re doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care, whoever and wherever they are.

They do this by:

  • Providing services at every stage of the cancer journey
  • Raising funds to support people living with cancer
  • Equipping healthcare professionals with resources, tools and training
  • Researching to target support and advocacy where it’s needed most
  • Campaigning, building partnerships and influencing policy across the UK
