Mark Brown

Partner, Audit

Mark is a partner in our audit team and applies a hands-on approach, meaning that clients benefit from his ‘day-to-day’ responsibility and oversight for their audit, covering all aspects from planning through to completion.

Commercially minded and conscious that all clients’ needs are different, Mark has been part of the Gravita team for over 20 years and another similar sized accountancy firm prior to that.

He has significant experience across a range of sectors and industries including manufacturing, wholesale, retail, post production and membership organisations. Mark’s other key area of specialism involves working with legal clients and he can provide professional advice with SRA audits and Solicitors Rules Accountants Reports.

From start-ups through to established and large enterprises and groups, Mark believes in high levels of communication with clients that commences upon appointment and continues during and after each engagement. Combined with his expertise and attention to detail, this ensures a seamless audit delivery and lasting relationships with his clients.

Mark is proactive in keeping up to date with corporate disclosure requirements and has a keen interest in the fast changing reporting landscape around all Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting requirements.

In his spare time, Mark can be found with a whistle, officiating at school and club level as a qualified rugby union referee.
