Autumn Statement Breakfast at Gravita

The UK Government’s new Chancellor Jeremy Hunt announced his first Autumn Statement on 17 November 2022, and we were delighted to welcome our guests to our Autumn Statement Summary Breakfast event at our 30 City Road office yesterday, 22 November.

Our speakers for the morning were Tax Partners, Victor Dauppe and Nigel May. The session was hosted by Mark Rubinson, Partner at Gravita ABG LLP.

As well as providing us with a summary of the Chancellor’s announcement between them, Victor and Nigel also looked at:

  • Corporation tax at 25%
  • National Insurance
  • The impact of increased interest rates on different sectors
  • The impact of high inflation from a tax perspective.
  • The ongoing importance of business structure from a planning perspective.

We would like to extend a big thank you to everyone that took the time to join us at our Autumn Statement Breakfast event at 30 City Road yesterday, and we look forward to welcoming you again at a future event.

Our next seminar is scheduled for 18 January 2023 when we will be taking a look at the UK economy. Our guest speaker will be Rob Elder from the Bank of England. We are expecting this session to be popular, so if you would like to join us, please get in touch or email kay.merryman@gravita.com.
